Winter holiday in Lapland

So. I'm back home from Lapland. We had an amazing week there, once again. Highs and lows. Lots of drama and fights but also lots of fun moments and laughter.

I have photos taken by me in Flickr so check them out there. I'm not gonna post them here - right now at least. Instead here is a great photo that my sister took as I and Martta went riding on Icelandic horses. We had the best time! :)

  1. Love these pictures. I spent 4 months in Rovaniemi, Lapland, in 2006, but it was during the summer. I would love to see those winter snows, though!

  2. I think I've only been in summer-Lapland like...once? When I was a kid. My family likes to ski, so we mostly go there in the winter.
I recommend the winter-Lapland! The trees and everything looks so beautiful in winter. We call the snow-covered spruce-trees kynttiläkuusi = candle spruce in Finland. :)

  3. AND I recommend the Icelandic horses also! Even if you've never been on horse-back, it doesn't matter. :) It's a great way to see the "Laplandic" nature as long as you're not allergic :)
