The search of inspiration

I've been having one of my uninspired phases again, and today I was asked to take photos at the stable. The sun was shining (not so common in the autumn here), I had my camera with me and its battery was loaded so it was practically mandatory. 

In addition to the ordinary riding pictures, I tried to find some new angles and things to shoot also (for me, not in general), so here's the best I could come up with.

Riding is serious business!

Julia & Hiiri

Today I took some photos of Julia and her horse Hiiri ('Mouse' in English). It was a nice change to take photos of a white horse. The processing part was a bit easier than with photos of Pretti, for example. Surely there's always the danger of over-exposing, but I managed to have very few shots with that problem. The pace of his trot was in perfect harmony with my continuous shutter; whenever I got my timing right, his legs were in a perfect position in every shot (or if I had a bad timing, they were in a bad position in every shot).

Gorgeousness

This weekend I attended Sarah-Jane Clarke’s course of classic riding. I had a one hour lesson yesterday and it went very well. Today we had a visiting Andalusian/PRE stallion there, and he was just so gorgeous I had to snap a few photos.

It's almost 30 C in here and life is good. It's a little too hot for my liking, though. 20-25C would be much better.
