I got my Diana prints back!!

I got a call from the lab yesterday saying that my prints were brought back. As you can imagine, I was super excited and called my mom to pick them up today (I'm really sick with a cold at the moment). Well, she just brought them to me and I'm not that excited anymore...

First 35mm Diana film...

My very first 35mm Diana film aaaand it sucks. BIG time.
Apparently I keep "compensating" with the viewfinder, when it's actually doing the exact opposite of good. I keep aiming a little higher than what I see through the viewfinder, although I've told myself a million times to stop it. And now, with the 35mm Back, it's even worse....I was out in the town shooting buildings and stuff with Ms. D and due to this problem of mine I barely have anything at all in my shots, except for the gray sky. Plus I think the color film is pretty much going to waste when shooting these colorless winter scenes.

Oh well...live and learn, right? Now I know to kick myself the next time I stop trusting the viewfinder.

But while my photos suck, this definitely doesn't! An amazing Britney-cover by Sam Tsui & Kurt Schneider. This is obviously one of those songs that have all the ingredients to be amazing, but the original version just sucks (another good example is Rihanna's Umbrella). The true magic comes out when someone else does a better version of it and reveals it to the world.
Enjoy, subscribe and share! :)

Hang-over Sunday without the hang-over

I've been feeling a little anxious today...lying on the couch watching TV and thinking things through (which is never a good idea). I feel like I should go see a psychologist or something, my mind feels so screwed up when I have too much time to think.
The way I see myself hasn't been so great lately (different, though, from the not-so-great way I've seen myself before lately) and I have no idea what to do about it. I can't talk about it and if I manage to say something to someone I end up feeling extremely anxious and uncomfortable. It's just too damn personal and I don't even know how to put my thoughts into words most of the time.
That's another problem of mine...I feel sorry for my friends who have to put up with me floating away into some imaginary world or thinking stuff and never being able to form full sentences out of them. Dead Japanese trees indeed....

Oh well, a couple of amazing pieces of music for you guys.
Tonight these cheer me up if anything else doesn't, because they're just so damn good.

I hate to break it to you, babe, but I'm not drowning.

Let's all sing and dance to this! :)

I wish there was more frames with Kurt inside 'em, instead of Sam, though...;)

Oh and yeah so now the layout is all new and not so dark anymore! It's autumn, so it's dark enough already.

Covering a few of YouTube's cover-artists.

I've been listening to a lot of YouTube's cover-artists
and I thought it would be nice to make a post about my favorites. :)

Lisa Lavie

A singer/songwriter from Canada.
She reminds me of Leona Lewis. Technically amazing vocalist!

Michael Jackson - Earth Song
Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie - We Are The World 25 For Haiti
Jordin Sparks - Battlefield

Check out also her original songs! They are worth it.

Kurt Schneider and Sam Tsui

I'm so amazed at some of Kurt's arrangements. Even if a person don't know anything about arranging music, they should be able to see the talent his got there. Brilliant. And Sam Tsui shines like a star with his vocal talent! Although in some cases the American style "decorative" singing can get a little old, in my opinion. If you overdo it, the effect fades away (this same applies to Lisa Lavie also).
But otherwise, amazing pair!

Love The Way You Lie MASHUP
Summer Pop Medley
Replay
Lady Gaga Medley
Michael Jackson A cappella Medley

Also check out The College Musical!

Tyler Ward and Crew

My absolute favorite YouTube cover-artist! He's got a crew of very talented people around him and their videos are a lot fun. Many of his covers are acoustic and I'm a big sucker for acoustic (guitar) songs. :)

Lena - Satellite
Katy Perry - California Gurls
Carrie Underwood - Undo It with Elise Lieberth
Maroon 5 - Misery with Julia Sheer and Eppic

Also check out his original songs!
